"Banyaknya permasalahan perilaku pada siswa jenjang menengah memicu munculnya program pendidikan karakter di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Pembentukan karakter dapat dilakukan melalui keterlibatan siswa di dalam kelas, sehingga persepsi siswa terhadap iklim kelasnya menjadi penting untuk dilihat pada penelitian ini. Sebagai upaya menjelaskan perilaku siswa jenjang menengah yang terkait dengan pendidikan karakter, penelitian ini hadir untuk melihat hubungan antara classroom climate sebagai faktor lingkungan dan performance goal orientation sebagai faktor diri pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Classroom climate diukur menggunakan Individualized Classroom Environment Questionnaire (ICEQ) short version (Fisher & Fraser, 1985), sedangkan performance goal orientation diukur menggunakan Goal Orientation And Learning Strategies Survey (GOALS-S) (Dowson & McInerney, 1997). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah multiple correlation dengan R menunjukkan besaran koefisien korelasi yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian terhadap 149 siswa kelas XI yang berasal dari jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara classroom climate dan performance goal orientation (R = 0,332, p<0,01). Selanjutnya ditemukan pula hubungan yang signifikan antara classroom climate dan mastery goal orientation, namun tidak terbuktikan adanya hubungan antara classroom climate dan work avoidance goal orientation, serta social goal orientations.

Many behavioral problems at secondary level students cause the character education program in many countries, including Indonesia. Character building can be done by involving students in the classroom. Therefore, students perception of classroom climate becomes essential to be analyzed in this study. As an attempt to explain secondary level students behavior which is related to character education, this study presents to investigate the correlation between classroom climate as environmental factor and performance goal orientation as person factor among senior high school students. Classroom climate variable is measured using the Individualized Classroom Environment Questionnaire (ICEQ) short version (Fisher & Fraser, 1985), while the performance goal orientation is measured using Goal Orientation And Learning Strategies Survey (GOALS-S) (Dowson & McInerney, 1997). Multiple correlation is used for the analysis technique with R shows the amount of correlation coefficient earned. The results from 149 students class of XI majoring in science and social science indicates that there is a significant correlation between classroom climate and performance goal orientation (R = 0.332, p<0.01). Furthermore, research also found a significant correlation between classroom climate and mastery goal orientation, but it does not prove the existence of the correlations between classroom climate and work avoidance goal orientation, as well as the social goal orientations."

Mahasiswa seringkali kurang aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar di kelas, diduga ada pengaruh dari sensitivitas pada stigma akibat kesenjangan sosio-ekonomi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh dari sensitivitas pada stigma akibat kesenjangan sosio ekonomi (SSID) pada hubungan pengendalian diri, kebiasaan belajar, dan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa di kelas. Partisipan sejumlah 121 mahasiswa universitas X, terdiri dari 107 perempuan dan 14 laki-laki, dengan rentang usia 20-23 tahun. Analisis yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah uji bivariate correlation dan uji regresi untuk melihat pengaruh moderasi SSID pada hubungan pengendalian diri dengan keterlibatan aktif di kelas melalui kebiasaan belajar. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengendalian diri dengan kebiasaan belajar dan kebiasaan belajar dengan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa di kelas. Hasil uji regresi menunjukkan peran kebiasaan belajar sebagai mediator pada hubungan pengendalian diri dengan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa di kelas, namun tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari SSID pada hubungan tersebut. Implikasi teoritis dari hasil penelitian ini adalah pengendalian diri yang baik dan kebiasaan belajar yang teratur dapat menjadi prediktor terhadap keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa di kelas, sementara implikasi praktisnya dapat dilakukan dengan melatih pengendalian diri dan membentuk kebiasaan belajar yang teratur untuk menggugah mahasiswa agar lebih aktif di kelas.


College students were often less-actively in their involvement at the classroom, thus  there was a suspected from the effect of sensitivity to stigma of SES-based identity discrepancy. This study aimed to see the effect of sensitivity to SES-based identity discrepancy (SSID) in the relationship of self-control, homework habits, and classroom engagement. Participants were 121 students from university X, consisted of 107 women and 14 men, with an age-range of 20-23 years. Analysis used in this study were bivariate correlation and regression test to see the moderation effect of SSID on the relationship of self-control and classroom engagement through homework habits. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between self-control and homework habits, then homework habits and classroom engagement. The regression test results showed the role of homework habits as a mediator in the relationship of self-control and classroom engagement, while there is no significant moderation effect of SSID. Theoretical implications from this study, such as high self-control and good homework habits can be a predictor of student`s classroom engagement, while the practical implications can be started with self-control training and formed a good homework habits to inspire students became more active in the classroom.

"Pandemi mengingatkan perlunya membuat ketangguhan sistem dan kapasitas lokal masyarakat urban untuk mencegah penyebaran penyakit menular termasuk terjadinya klaster Covid-19 di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian kuantitatif regresi linear digunakan untuk menganalisis sikap guru terhadap pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi, faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan disiplin protokol kesehatan pencegahan klaster sekolah dan menjelaskan alat desinfeksi UVC untuk meningkatkan kualitas udara dalam ruangan di sekolah berbasis metode eksperimental. Hasil penelitian sesuai nilai signifikansi menunjukkan bahwa faktor Pendidikan, Vaksin, Pengetahuan, Sarana, Sikap dan Kebijakan sangat berpengaruh terhadap disiplin protokol kesehatan pencegahan Covid-19 saat pembelajaran tatap muka. Solusi untuk meminimalkan penularan melalui udara menggunakan sarana disinfeksi udara telah dibuktikan melalui pengujian radiasi dalam ruang sebesar 7,31 mW/cm2, menonaktifkan bakteri yang memiliki ketahanan lebih tinggi dibandingkan SARS-CoV-2, mereduksi 84,83% konsentrasi mikroba dalam ruangan hingga DNA virus terdegradasi hanya dalam waktu 5 detik menggunakan spesimen virus SARS-CoV-2 yang diduga merupakan varian Omicron. Semoga pemerintah dapat mengadopsi dan mengadaptasi rekomendasi disinfeksi udara pada hunian, ruang kelas, perkantoran, area publik yang tertutup hingga sarana transportasi massal. 

The pandemic reminds us of the need to build resilience in the system and local capacities of urban communities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including the occurrence of clusters of Covid-19 in schools. Quantitative research with linear regression was used to analyze teacher's attitudes towards online learning during pandemic, factors related to the discipline of health protocols for school cluster prevention and explain UVC disinfection tools to improve indoor air quality in school base on experimental methods. The results according to the significance value show that the factors Education, Vaccine, Knowledge, Facilities, Attitude dan Policy greatly influence the discipline of the Covid-19 prevention health protocol during face-to-face learning. The solution for minimizing airborne transmission using an air disinfection tool has been proven by testing indoor radiation of 7.31 mW/cm2, deactivating bacteria that have higher resistance than SARS-CoV-2, reducing 84.83% of the concentration of microbes in the room and Virus DNA was degraded in just 5 seconds using specimen of suspected SARSCoV-2 Omicron variant. Hopefully, the government can adopt and adapt recommendations for air disinfection in residential areas, classrooms, offices, closed public areas and mass transportation. "

"Bermain sangat penting untuk perkembangan anak-anak karena memiliki peran terhadap kognitif, fisik, sosial dan emosional anak-anak. Bermain dapat dilakukan baik di sekolah maupun di lingkungan pemukiman. Untuk memahami masalah ini, tulisan ini berusaha untuk membahas tentang aktivitas bermain anak dan implikasi spasialnya melalui penelitian literatur terutama dari dua jurnal artikel relevan yang ditulis 1) oleh Casey dkk yang melakukan penelitian terkait perkembangan kognitif seperti aktivitas block-building di dalam kelas yang melibatkan cerita dongeng yang memicu siswa taman kanak-kanak di Boston, Massachusetts dan Houston, Texas untuk belajar sambil bermain; dan 2) oleh McKenzie dkk yang melakukan penelitian terkait perkembangan fisik seperti aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan di lingkungan sekolah oleh siswa sekolah dasar di San Diego County, Caifornia Selatan saat sebelum sekolah, saat jam istirahat, dan saat jam makan siang.
Temuan penelitian literatur ini telah menunjukkan bahwa peran perbedaan gender dalam studi literatur berbeda dalam hal perkembangan kognitif; perbedaan gender tampak pada kemampuan rotasi mental dalam kemampuan spasial anak; dalam hal perkembangan fisik, perbedaan gender terlihat pada intensitas aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan anak perempuan dan anak laki-laki. Ekspresi spasial anak secara nyata dapat kita lihat, ekspresi tersebut tidak terlepas dari kemampuan spasial anak karena merupakan hasil dari proses spasial yang terjadi di dalam benak anak.

Play is essential to children's development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children and youth. Playing can be done both in school and in the residential areas. To understand the issue, this Skripsi or academic essay seek to discuss of children playing and its spatial implication through literature research especially those from two relevant article journals written 1) by Casey et al, that research related to cognitive development such as block-building activities in classes involving storytelling that triggered kindergarten students in Boston, Massachusetts and Houston, Texas to learn while playing, and 2) by McKenzie et al that research related to physical development such as physical activity that carried out in the school surroundings by elementary school students in San Diego County, South California before school, during recess, and during lunch time.
Findings of this literature research have shown that the role of gender differences in the literature study differs in terms of cognitive development; there is a gender difference in mental rotation abilities in the spatial abilities of children; in terms of physical development, gender differences are seen in the intensity of physical activity performed by girls and boys. The spatial expression of the child can be clearly seen, the expression can not be separated from the spatial ability of the child because it is the result of spatial process that occurs in the childs mind.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah pelibatan diri berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara iklim kelas dengan sikap kreatif siswa di Sekolah Alam. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan sikap kreatif untuk menghadapi tantangan masa depan yang distimulasi melalui penciptaan iklim kelas dan pelibatan diri. Penelitian ini merupakan tipe non eksperimental dengan metode pengambilan sampel non-probability sampling yaitu siswa kelas 3-5 SD Sekolah Alam Indonesia dengan memberikan kuesioner sebanyak tiga buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelibatan diri berperan penuh sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara iklim kelas dengan sikap kreatif siswa. Iklim kelas juga menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan sikap kreatif.

The aim of this study is to measure the role of school engagement as mediator in relations between classroom climate with creative attitude in nature based school. The background of this research is the needs of creative attitude to face the challenge in the future by create the classroom climate and make the children more involved in school activity. This research is done with quantitative methods and non probability sampling methods for elementary school students from grade 3 until 5 in one of Nature Based School in Jakarta by giving them three self report questionnaires. Results of this research indicated that school engagement role as a mediator in relations between classroom climate with creative attitude in nature based school elementary students. The clasroom climate also indicated that has a relations with creative attitude."
