"Penelitian ini bertujuan memperlihatkan representasi tokoh perempuan dominan dalam alih wahana dari novel ke seri televisi Game of Thrones. Metode deskriptif analisis dengan teori feminisme tentang gender digunakan untuk melihat bagaimana tokoh-tokoh perempuan tersebut merepresentasikan ide perempuan sebagai bentuk perempuan dominan. Dari hasil analisis tampak bahwa seri televisi menggambarkan perempuan-perempuan sebagai tokoh yang lebih mandiri, simpatik dan cerdas dibandingkan novel.

This analysis aims to show the representation of dominant female characters in the adaptation from the novel to the television series Game of Thrones. Descriptive analytical method with feminism theory about gender are used to see how the female characters represent the idea of ​​women as a form of dominant women. From the analysis, it appears that the television series depict women as more independent, sympathetic and more intelligent characters than the novel.

"Komedi situasi (sitcom) merupakan salah satu bentuk tayangan di televisi yang berusaha menampilkan potret realita sosial. Meskipun berakar dari fakta dan kondisi masyarakat, komedi situasi juga merekonstruksi paradigma audiens dengan representasi yang disuguhkan dalam bentuk audio sekaligus visual. Tetangga Masa Gitu sebagai sebuah sitcom baru berusaha menampilkan sosok perempuan Indonesia yang baru dan berbeda dengan stereotipe konvensional. Tetapi di saat yang sama, terdapat bagian dari identitas lama yang masih dipertahankan. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya sebuah ideologi yang mendasari representasi tersebut dan berusaha dikukuhkan. Melalui tesis ini, penulis melihat sebuah redefinisi yang semu dari sosok perempuan yang digagas dalam episode-episode sitcom ini. Teori Representasi digunakan untuk meninjau dialog-dialog dan cuplikan adegan dalam tayangan Tetangga Masa Gitu dan menunjukkan proses redefinisi identitas perempuan. Tesis ini mencoba memberikan pemahaman akan representasi dalam televisi yang meskipun berubah, akan selalu terhubung dengan akar identitas sebuah masyarakat.

Situation comedy (Sitcom) is one kind of television show presenting snapshots of a society. Eventhough it is based on fact and social conditions, a sitcom also reshapes its audiences paradigm through audio & visual representations showed in it. As a new sitcom, Tetangga Masa Gitu is trying to present a new model of Indonesian women, which differs from the conventional stereotypes. However, there are parts of the old identity that emerge in the sitcom. It shows that there is this one form of ideology constructing the way this sitcom represents women. In this research, the aim is to see the false redefinition on women narrated in episodes of this sitcom. Theory of representation is used to analyze dialogues and screenshots, and identify the process of redefining women?s identity. This thesis attempt to provide understanding upon representations in television which tends to change, yet is always connected to its root in social identity.

"[Pencitraan yang dilakukan oleh Putin dalam periode pemerintahannya menunjukan perbedaan yang signifkan dengan pencitraan yang umum dilakukan oleh pemimpin Rusia pada era Uni Soviet. Akan tetapi, proses pencitraan yang berlainan tersebut hanyalah wujud dari luar semata, pada sistem pemerintahan Putin totaliter kembali diberlakukan, seperti pada era Uni Soviet. Wujud demokrasi yang diperlihatkan pada diizinkannya demonstrasi, partai politik yang tidak tunggal, diizinkannya oposisi hanyalah etalase semata. Pada kenyataanya, Republik Federasi Rusia tetaplah negara otoriter yang dikendalikan oleh Putin sepenuhnya. Sosok Putin saat ini menggantikan sosok Partai pada era pemerintahan Uni Soviet dahulu.;Putin’s way to visualize his own image is different with the old ‘Soviet-Way’ of imagining someone as their leader. Putin is using popular culture rather than the old black and white or military typical portrait. This is a way from Putin to show the world that Russian Government has changed. "[Tesis ini menganalisis pemaknaan dan reaksi manusia gerobak terhadap ruang urban Jakarta. Pemaknaan terhadap ruang urban Jakarta oleh manusia gerobak dan reaksi mereka terhadap regulasi di ruang urban Jakarta menjadi pertanyaan dalam tesis ini. Data diperoleh melalui pendekatan etnografi dengan wawancara mendalam kepada
manusia gerobak di Jakarta Selatan, dan observasi kegiatan manusia gerobak. Tesis ini menggunakan konsep urban dan hegemoni untuk menjawab rumusan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan manusia gerobak memaknai ruang urban Jakarta dengan eksistensi melalui mobilitas mereka untuk dapat bertahan di ruang urban Jakarta.
Manusia gerobak menunjukkan reaksi berupa resistensi terhadap regulasi di ruang urban Jakarta. Mereka menunjukkan resistensi dengan tidak memiliki Kartu Tanda Penduduk, menolak bekerja dalam sektor formal dengan memilih menjadi manusia gerobak, dan tidak ingin menempati rumah tinggal seperti yang diberikan oleh pemerintah. Resistensi ini menjadi bentuk gerakan untuk menuntut hak mereka atas kota dalam konteks Jakarta sebagai ruang urban;This thesis analyses how manusia gerobak makes meaning out of the urban space of

At the same time, manusia gerobak show their resistance to regulation by rejecting to have Jakarta’s identity card, refusing to work in formal sector by choosing to be a manusia gerobak as their job, and not wanting to stay in formal settlements, such as houses provided by the government. "Tesis ini membahas transformasi identitas agama yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama di dalam novel Maryam karya Okky Madasari (2013). Identitas agama dalam novel Maryam yaitu: Ahmadiyah dan Islam (Islam pada umumnya). Pemaknaan identitas agama dalam oposisi biner identitas agama benar dan identitas agama sesat, oleh pemuka agama dan aparatus negara, menyebabkan terjadinya konflik identitas agama. Transformasi identitas agama sebagai strategi bertahan tokoh Maryam dalam konflik identitas agama tersebut, dianalisis dengan berbagai konsep identitas: Hall (1999), Gilroy (1999) dan Woodward (1999).

This thesis presents the transformation of religious identity performed by the main character in Okky Madasari?s work, Maryam (2013). Religious identities discussed in the novel namely: Ahmadiyah and Islam (Islam in general). Religious leaders and state apparatuses classify religious identities into righteous identity as opposed to deviant identity; such binary opposition leads to conflicts. Transformation of religious identity performed by Maryam as her strategy to survive in the conflicts is discussed with various identity concepts: Hall (1999), Gilroy (1999) and Woodward (1999).

"[ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas bagaimana sikap Jepang terhadap ajaran Katolik pada Perang
Dunia kedua ditampilkan dalam novel Kiiroi Hito karya Endo Shusaku. Dengan
memanfaatkan analisis struktur naratif dan intertekstual, ditemukan bahwa teks
Kiiroi Hito menampilkan perbedaan kekristenan Jepang dan Barat. Selain itu
diperlihatkan pula kehadiran Endo Shusaku di dalam teks Kiiroi Hito yang
menjelma sebagai dua tokoh utama yang memiliki spiritualitas yang bertolak
belakang. Kajian intertekstualitas menghasilkan temuan bahwa sinkretisasi ajaran
Katolik di dalam novel Kiiroi Hito dikarenakan kondisi politik pada masa Perang
dan hal tersebut relevan dengan fakta sejarah maupun latar belakang Endo
Shusaku.

ABSTRACT
This thesis examines Japan‟s reception towards Christianity during World War II
which represented on Shusaku Endo‟s novel, Kiiroi Hito. By using narrative and
intertextuality approach I found that Kiiroi Hito reveals the differences in
Christianity between Japan and West. It also reveals that Endo appeared as two
characters‟ parallelism and whose spiritualities are different to each other.
Analysis on Kiiroi Hito‟s Intertextuality reveals that the religion syncretization in
the novel is influenced by Japan‟s political condition in WWII and it is relevant

Tesis ini membahas subordinasi tokoh utama perempuan di dalam novel Burung-
Burung Rantau (1992) karya Y. B. Mangunwijaya dengan mencermati narasi dan
fokalisasi. Pencermatan terhadap narasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik
naratif yang dikemukakan Genette (1980) dan telaah terhadap fokalisasi dilakukan
dengan pendekatan fokalisasi Kenan (2003). Narator dan fokalisator tampak
mensubordinasi tokoh utama perempuan dalam aspek tubuh dan seksualitas,
pernikahan, dan pendidikan terkait dengan isu gender. Dengan mengkaji diksi
yang digunakan fokalisator dalam pencermatannya, makna diksi ternyata juga
mensubordinasi tokoh utama.

ABSTRACT
This thesis presents the subordination of the heroine of Burung-Burung Rantau
(1992) by Y. B. Mangunwijaya by observing narration and focalization. Analysis
of the narration is done by using the narrative techniques proposed by Genette
(1980) and study of focalization is conducted by using the focalization by Kenan
(2003). Narrator and focalizator subordinate the heroine in the aspect of the body
and sexuality, marriage, and education related to gender issues. By analyzing the
diction used by focalizator in scrutinizing the heroine, diction places the heroine

Tesis ini mengkaji kumpulan puisi Perempuan yang Dihapus Namanya karya
Avianti Armand. Tesis ini menggunakan teologi feminis Kristen rekonstruksionis
sebagai perspektifnya. Selain itu teori intertekstualitas dan teori citraan juga
digunakan dalam tesis ini. Dari analisis tesis ini terlihat bahwa kumpulan puisi ini
(sebagai teks transformasi) melakukan rekonstruksi terhadap kisah-kisah dalam
Alkitab (sebagai teks hipogram). Rekonstruksi itu meliputi: (1) perubahan perspektif,
(2) konversi peristiwa, (3) ekspansi peristiwa, dan (4) seleksi peristiwa. Kemudian,
rekonstruksi kisah-kisah yang dilakukan kumpulan puisi ini berpengaruh pada citra
perempuan dalam antologi puisi ini. Hasil akhir dari tesis ini menunjukkan bahwa
tokoh-tokoh perempuan dalam antologi ini (khususnya Batsyeba dan Tamar) telah
bertransformasi dari objek menjadi subjek. Mereka mampu menyatakan perasaannya,
berbicara, mengkritik, memutuskan nasibnya sendiri, dan bertindak. Selain itu,
tokoh-tokoh perempuan.

Intertextuality theory and the theory of imagery are also used in this thesis. From the
analysis of this thesis seem that this anthology (as text transformation), reconstructs
the stories in the Bible (as text hypogram). The reconstruction includes: (1) changes
in perspective, (2) events conversion, (3) events expansion, and (4) events selection.
Thus, the reconstruction of the stories in this anthology has effects on the image of
women in this poetry anthology. The final result of this analysis shows that the
figures of women in this anthology (especially Bathsheba and Tamar) have been
transformed from object into subject. They are able to express their feelings, speak
out, criticize, decide their own destiny, and act. In addition, figures of women in this

"[ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas rekonstruksi identitas Minangkabau dalam narasi Persiden karya Wisran Hadi. Tujuannya adalah memaparkan gejala-gejala identitas melalui cara narator membingkai narasinya dan menyajikannya kepada penerima cerita. Dari gejala-gejala tersebut, dapat dijabarkan penanda Rumah Bagonjong yang didesak oleh ruang kota. Dari penelitian ini dapat diperoleh gejala tegangan antara ruang kota yang ditandai dengan Simpang Persiden dan ruang tradisional yang ditandai dengan keberadaan Rumah Bagonjong. Tegangan tersebut memunculkan negosiasi yang tidak diberi penyelesaian oleh Narator. Pada akhirnya, negosiasi direspons oleh Wisran Hadi dengan menghadirkan outer space yang dilihat dari pergerakan tokoh menjauh dari ruang Persiden. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa rekonstruksi identitas Minangkabau belum terjadi karena perubahan identitas itu masih dinegosiasikan.

ABSTRACT
This thesis is discussing Minangkabau's identities reconstruction in Wisran Hadi's work, Persiden. The aim of this thesis is to explain the identity phenomenon seen from the way the author wrapping the narration and presenting it to the readers. From these phenomenon, we can see that Bagonjong's house existence is being pushed by the city. The thesis found there is a clash between the urban space represented by Simpang Persiden and traditional space represented with the existence of Bagonjong house. Moreover, the clash between spaces raises endless negotiation voiced by the Narrator. Thus, the author respond to the endless negotiation by presenting outer space which represented by the character moving away from Persiden. In conclusion, Minangkabau?s identity reconstruction is never take place due to the endless and unfinished negotiation, This thesis is discussing Minangkabau's identities reconstruction in Wisran Hadi's work, Persiden. The aim of this thesis is to explain the identity phenomenon seen from the way the author wrapping the narration and presenting it to the readers. "Tesis ini merupakan penelitian mengenai tradisi lisan Gaok di Majalengka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan fungsi dan makna Gaok bagi kehidupan masyarakat Kulur Majalengka serta proses pemertahanan Gaok yang dilakukan dalang Rukmin. Sumber data diperoleh dari data lapangan dan studi pustaka. Penelitian menggunakan beberapa konsep dan teori pertunjukan tradisi lisan, kelisanan, teori struktural Propp dan pengelolaan tradisi lisan.
Metode penelitian menggunakan metode etnografi (salah satu pendekatan Kajian Tradisi Lisan). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Gaok memiliki makna dan fungsi bagi masyarakat Kulur Majalengka. Fungsi Gaok bagi masyarakat Kulur meliputi: fungsi hiburan, media doa, dan fungsi penjaga nilai-nilai pendidikan. Makna Gaok meliputi: Representasi nilai-nilai spiritualitas, Representasi nilai perempuan, representasi tradisi riungan dan pesta makanan, representasi norma hukum, dan representasi sejarah Majalengka.
Sedangkan upaya pemertahanan dilakukan oleh dalang melalui kreativitas membuat Giok kombinasi, mengelola sanggar, dan menyimpan wawacan. Namun demikian upaya tersebut berjalan kurang optimal karena keterbatasan kemampuan dan dana yang dimiliki Rukmin serta kurangnya dukungan dari pihak eksternal yakni pemerintah dan masyarakat. Akibatnya proses transmisi dan pewarisan melalui pengajaran terhadap generasi muda tidak berjalan.

This thesis indicated a research about Gaok 's oral tradition in Majalengka. The research aimed to disclose a function and Gaok's meaning for society life of Kulur, Majalengka. As well as the survival process of Gaok which was done by "dalang" (the master) Rukmin. Data sources was obtained by field study and literary study. This research used various of concepts and the theories of oral tradition performance, orality, Propp structural theory and the management of oral tradition.
The research method used ethnography method (one of the approaches of Oral Tradition Study). The research result showed that Gaok had meaning and function for Kulur society. The function were: entertainment,praying media, as well as for keeping education values. The meaning of Gaok were: Representatives of spiritual values, Representatives of women values, Representatives of "Riungan" tradition and meal party, Representatives of law values, Representatives of Majalengka's History.
The effort to converse was done by "dalang" Rukmin through the creativity of rrraking combination of Gaok, managing a Sanggar (club) and saving wawacan (texts.) However those efforl was not optirnal enough due to the lirnitation of ability and fund which was owned by Rukrnin and lack of support from external sides namely government and society. As a result, transmission process and inheritance through teaching to young generation were not carried out.
