"ABSTRAKThe quality of journals in Indonesia is much criticized; however, the number of Indonesian journals that meet the criteria of Directory of Open Access Journal (DOAJ) is quite a lot. This study describes some facts of Indonesias publications based on DOAJ and World Bank data. Data Collection Method. Some filtering processes in DOAJ database were done based on sum of journals, scientific fields distribution, and Article Processing Charge (APC). Open data regarding research funds among countries in World Bank database were analyzed.Data Analysis. This study used quantitative descriptive design with frequency analysis technique. Data visualization was done with R Statistical Computing and Google Sheets.Results and Discussions. In March 2017, there were 500 Indonesian journals (5th rank worldwide); 420 of them were in Indonesian covering more than 51,000 articles (7th rank). The top three fields were: education, Islam religion, as well as business and commerce. As much as 70% of the journals were free of APC. Science must prioritize inclusiveness and equality inline with the principles of originality and honesty.Conclusions. This study concludes that open access journals in Indonesia improves the accessibility, quality, and relevance of Indonesian research, which can be reused by communities, industries, and the government."

Publisitas dilakukan untuk promosi perpustakaan dengan membuat brosur, leaflet, film, atau tulisan dimedia cetak/elektronik, pameran biasanya dilakukan pada peristiwa tertentu seperti hari-hari besar, hari ulang tahun perpustakaan, atau peristiwa penting lainnya. DIharapkan dengan kegiatan pemasyarakatan, perpustakaan menjadi lingkungan tempat (i) berinteraksi dengan orang lain, (ii) mencari informasi yang dibutuhkan, (iii) berbagi pengetahuan, dan (iv) memotivasi inovasi dan kekreatifitas."

How does dispositional affect how one experiences emotions -- influence relationships in the workplace? What role does emotion play in effective as well as ideal library leadership and management? "Pembangunan perpustakaan yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan memainkan peran kunci dalam mempromosikan lingkungan yang lebih sehat, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan memastikan bahwa tindakan generasi saat ini tidak membahayakan generasi mendatang. Perpustakaan hijau berfungsi sebagai pengaruh pendidik, dan pendukung untuk keberlanjutan ekologis, ekonomis, dan sosial, dengan menerapkan agenda keberlanjutan. Untuk lebih mendorong rencana keberlanjutan perpustakaan akademik di Indonesia, prinsip ramah lingkungan penting untuk digabungkan dalam pelaksanaan program kerja, pertumbuhan, pemeliharaan, dan layanan perpustakaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan standar Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) yang dikembangkan oleh United States Green Building Council (USGBC) dan daftar kontrol yang dirilis oleh Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section, International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (ENSULIB IFLA) sebagai patokan dan panduan untuk instrumen penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di 10 perpustakaan akademik di Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN-BH) Indonesia. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan perpustakaan ramah lingkungan di Indonesia masih sangat terbatas. Pustakawan juga menunjukkan kurangnya keakraban dengan konsep perpustakaan hijau dan berkelanjutan ini. Namun demikian, perpustakaan di Indonesia merespons positif dan menunjukkan niat baik terkait konsep perpustakaan hijau, meski keterlibatan mereka saat ini masih terbatas.

The development of environmentally friendly and sustainable libraries plays a key role in promoting a healthier environment, thereby improving the quality of life and ensuring that our actions do not endanger future generations. Such libraries serve as influences, educators, and supporters for ecological, economic, and social sustainability, by implementing a clear sustainability agenda. To further drive the sustainability plan of academic libraries in Indonesia, it is crucial to incorporate environmentally friendly principles into the implementation of work programs, growth, maintenance, and library services. This research uses the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and the checklist released by the Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (ENSULIB IFLA) as benchmarks and guides for research instruments. This study was conducted in 10 academic libraries at Legal-Entity State Higher Education Institutions (PTN-BH) in Indonesia. The findings show that the implementation of environmentally friendly libraries in Indonesia is still very limited, with librarians showing a lack of familiarity with this concept of green and sustainable libraries. However, libraries in Indonesia respond positively and show goodwill towards the concept of green libraries, although their involvement is currently still limited."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini menjelaskan tentang representasi perpustakaan dan pustakawan dalamfilm The Librarian: Quest for the Spear. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodesemiotik dengan menggunakan analisis yang dikemukakan oleh Roland Barthesyaitu analisis hubungan sintagmatik dan paradigmatik yang bertujuan untukmendeskripsikan representasi perpustakaan dan pustakawan dengan memahamigambaran perpustakaan dan pustakawan yang ditampilkan dalam film. Hasilpenelitian ini menyatakan bahwa dalam analisis sintagmatik menunjukkanrepresentasi perpustakaan tercermin dari perpustakaan Metropolitan PublicLibrary dengan representasi pustakawan tercermin dari tokoh Flynn. Analisisparadigmatik menunjukkan representasi perpustakaan dan pustakawan dilihat darideskripsi para tokoh dan juga latar tempat. Sebagai kesimpulan, film inimerepresentasikan perpustakaan sebagai tempat yang menyimpan koleksi bukudan benda berharga serta pustakawan memiliki wawasan luas serta memilikikemampuan meneliti yang baik.
