"PT. Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) adalah perusahaan kontraktor tambang terbesar di Indonesia dengan visi "To Be Word Class Mining Contractor With The Best Productivity, Engineering, Safety & Environment". PAMA belum memiliki perencanaan strategis yang diturunkan secara nyata ke seluruh departemen, khususnya Departemen Teknologi Informasi. Belum adanya perencanaan strategis sistem informasi menyebabkan pengembangan sistem informasi dan aplikasi di PAMA belum terarah dan sulit diketahui kesesuainnya dengan perecanaan strategis perusahaan. Perumusan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi PAMA akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik SWOT Analysis, Five Forces Model, Value Chain Analysis, dan matriks Strategic Grid McFarlan. Analisis terhadap perencanaan strategis terdahulu dan aplikasi yang dimiliki PAMA juga akan dilakukan untuk menentukan jenis aplikasi yang dibutuhkan dan yang tidak dibutuhkan.
Arah perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang dirumuskan adalah:
1. Mendukung terpacapainya manajemen yang efektif melalui penyediaan sistem informasi manajemen dan sistem informasi eksekutif PAMA.
2. Mendukung tercapainya manajemen yang efektif melalui penyediaan Human Resources Information System yang terintegrasi.
3. Mendukung program efisiensi dengan mereduksi repair & maintenance cost melalui penyediaan Plant Maintenance Information System yang terintegrasi.
4. Mendukung program improvement dengan implementasi Operation Research melalui penyediaan data yang valid dan kontinyu.
5. Berpartisipasi dalam program peningkatan kepuasan pelanggan dengan penyediaan system Customer Compliant Handling.
Dengan perencanaan strategis sistem informasi yang telah dirumuskan, perlu dikembangkan beberapa aplikasi, antara lain: Human Resources Information System, Plant Maintenance Information System, Customer Management, dan Data Warehousing.

PT. Pamapersada Nusantara is the biggest mining contractor company in Indonesia with vision "To Be Word Class Mining Contractor With The Best Productivity, Engineering, Safety & Environment". PAMA still haven't strategic planning that clearly break down to each departments or divisions, especially Information Technology Department. Without information system strategic planning, development of information system and application will uncontrolled and doesn't match with corporate strategic planning.
Formulation of Information System Strategic Planning will conducted by use several techniques, there are, SWOT Analysis, Five Forces Model, Value Chain Analysis, and Strategic Grid McFarlan. Analysis to past strategic planning and application portfolio also conducted to choose each applications whether still used or not.
Some directions of Information System Strategic Planning in PAMA are:
1. Support The Effective Management Program through supplying Management and Executive Information System.
2. Support The Effective Management Program through supplying integrated Human Resources Information System.
3. Support The Efficiency Program by reduction of repair & maintenance cost through supplying integrated Plant Maintenance Information System.
4. Support The Improvement Program by implementation of Operation Research through supplying data valid, accurate, and continue.
5. Participation on Customer Satisfaction Program through development of Customer Compliant Handling System.
According to information system strategic planning that have been formulated, PAMA needs to develop several applications, there are: Human Resources Information System, Plant Maintenance Information System, Customer Management, and Data Warehousing.

Dahulu, kualitas layanan publik di negara ini jelas sangat mengecewakan. Belum lekang dari ingatan tentang ungkapan. Kalau bisa diperlambat, mengapa harus dipercepat.
