"Skripsi ini membahas hasil penelitian tentang penelusuran informasi di internet yang dilakukan oleh jurnalis harian The Jakarta Post yang mencakup strategi penelusuran informasi di internet, masalah dalam penelusuran dan cara penyelesaiannya, serta mencakup kepuasan akan kemampuan penelusuran informasi yang dimiliki jurnalis The Jakarta Post. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyarankan bahwa keterlibatan Pusat Informasi The Jakarta Post perlu untuk ditingkatkan dalam mengembangkan kemampuan penelusuran informasi jurnalis The Jakarta Post dan bahwa jurnalis perlu untuk memanfaatkan setiap sarana yang tersedia untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penelusuran informasi melalui internet.

The focus of this study is the journalists of The Jakarta Post Daily who make use of the internet in the work process of newsgathering. The purpose of this study is to understand the process of information seeking on the internet that being carried out by the journalists of The Jakarta Post Daily including their strategies, problems, and their level of satisfaction regarding their information seeking on the internet. This research is qualitative descriptive and the data were collected by the means of deep interview. The researcher suggests that to improve the level of satisfaction upon journalists information seeking on the internet, there should be more involvement from The Jakarta Post Information Centre. The researcher also suggests the journalists of The Jakarta Post Daily to use every means available to improve their level of satisfaction regarding information seeking on the internet."

"Penelitian ini membahas kebutuhan informasi pimpinan dan staf Komisi Nasional Hak Asasi Manusia (Komnas HAM), menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ialah wawancara dengan informan yaitu para pimpinan dan staf yang berada di Komnas HAM. Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan dengan pendekatan audit informasi yang dikemukakan oleh Suzan Henczel.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan informasi pimpinan dan staf berbeda, sesuai dengan tugas dan jabatan. Perpustakaan belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pimpinan dan staf melalui sumber informasi yang dimiliki. Penelitian menghasilkan suatu rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan peran perpustakaan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pimpinan dan staf.

This research is about the information needs of the managers and staff of the National Committee on Human Rights (KOMNAS HAM), using case study method with the qualitative approach. Data was collected from the interview results with the managers and staff of National Committee on Human Rights (KOMNAS HAM) as the informants. The information needs analysis was conducted using the information audit model introduced by Susan Henczel.

The research result shows that the information needs of managers and staff are different, depending on their job descriptions. The library and its information sources collection has not been able to fulfill the information needs of managers and staff. The research gives recommendations to increase the library roles in fulfilling the information needs of managers and staff of National Committee on Human Rights (KOMNAS HAM)."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang evaluasi library induction dalam menulis extended essay yang dilaksanakan setelah siswa year 12 di The British International School mengikuti library induction yang diberikan oleh manajer perpustakaan untuk selanjutnya ditanyakan kembali dalam kondisi dimana mereka sudah menyelesaikan extended essay mereka. Evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa membuat pertanyaan penelitian dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui bagaimana siswa menentukan kata kunci untuk penelusuran dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui apakah perpustakaan mempunyai sumber-sumber yang siswa perlukan dalam menyiapkan extended essay, mengetahui apa saja daftar situs yang digunakan oleh siswa sebagai sumber informasi dalam menyiapkan extended essay, dan mengetahui kemampuan menulis extended essay pasca library induction. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara memeriksa dokumen terkait, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini juga dikaitkan dengan model literasi informasi Empowering 8.

This undergraduate thesis covers the evaluation of library induction in writing an extended essay that is executed after year 12 students at The British International School follows the library induction was provided by the library manager then asked to return to in the conditions which they have completed their extended essay. This evaluation aims to determine how students make the research question in preparing the extended essay, to know how students learn to define keywords for searching in preparing the extended essay, to find out if the library has the resources that students need to prepare an extended essay, find out what are the list of sites used by students as a source of information in preparing an extended essay, and determine the ability to write an extended essay after library induction. This study was a qualitative research with case study method. The research data obtained by examining relevant documents, interviews, and observation. The results of this study was also associated with the information literacy model of Empowering 8."
